The National Chairman of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, has criticised President Bola Tinubu over persistent killings and abductions, accusing his administration of failing to protect Nigerians.
In a statement released on Tuesday, October 13, titled “Stop the Bloodletting,” Baba-Ahmed said insecurity across several states had left citizens exposed to attacks while the government offered press statements instead of meaningful relief.
He mentioned Kwara, Niger, Benue, Kebbi, Zamfara, Sokoto, Kaduna, Borno, Plateau and Yobe among areas affected by the violence.
The PRP chairman also raised concerns about the pressure on security forces and volunteers, saying Nigerians continued to pay with their lives, livelihoods and property.
He urged citizens to raise their voices against the killings and hold the government accountable, insisting that Nigerians could not wait until May 2027 for improved security.
Baba-Ahmed further predicted Tinubu’s defeat, accusing the administration of seeking re-election despite its handling of the security crisis.
